    Bike Box Hire

How do I hire a Bike Box?

Hiring a bike box with Swift couldn't be simpler, just give us a call and we can reserve the box for you. You'll need to leave a £10 deposit to secure the hire and the box will be ready for you to collect on the day. Be sure to book early around key times like the major European cyclo-sportives, as the boxes can get fully hired out during those periods.

    About The Boxes

Swift use Bike Box Alan cycle cases. We use these for 3 main reasons:
    - Super Robust Design gives you absolute peace of mind
    - Easily Packed. For packing instructions please view this instructional video
    - They're comparatively lightweight at 10.6kg - leaving enough leeway for your bike and a little bit of kit

How do I pack my Bike Box?

    Here are Swift's top tips:
    - Zip-tie everything together. If parts of the bike are not moving against each other, then they won't damage each other. Bring spares for the return journey.
    - Pipe cladding - use some on the major tubes of the bike if possible
    - Use the straps to secure the frame within the box - it stops the bike moving around and stops if from resting on the chainset
    - Put the chain on the big from ring. If the bike does move and rest on the chainset in transit - this way the chainring teeth are less likely to be damaged.
    - Allow 45 minutes packing time first time around.

Box can be collected between 10am and 7pm Monday - Friday and 10am and 4pm Saturdays and must be returned by 7pm on agreed return date.

Weekly Rental - £50 Per Week

Box can be collected between 10am and 7pm Monday - Friday and 10am and 4pm Saturdays and must be returned by 7pm on agreed return date. Late charges - £50 per day. We realise this is very punitive. But returning a box late could impact on somebody else's event or holiday. Obviously we take that very seriously.

Hire Slot Deposit - A deposit of £10 is required to secure the hire of the box. This is kept if the hire is cancelled with less than 48 hours notice.

Box Deposit - When you take the box you'll be asked to leave a £250 deposit refundable upon safe return of the box. Normal wear and tear is expected. Any significant damaged will be assessed on a case by case basis.

To reserve a box call 0207 377 0502 to speak to the team.

We have a modest fleet of boxes for hire but will always try to accommodate busy weekends or group booking. We do advise calling as far in advance of travel as possible to avoid disaster!
